Lucknow: The district malaria officer of Unnao, Ramesh Chandra Yadav, was apprehended by the vigilance establishment while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000. The incident occurred after a biologist from the filariasis control unit of Unnao, KK Gupta, filed a written complaint against Yadav. Gupta claimed that Yadav had asked for Rs 10,000 in exchange for approving his medical leave.
